When I decided to “take a break” from college my junior year at Wichita State University, a friend suggested I try cosmetology school. I laughed at her and said “nobody would actually pay me to do their hair and makeup?!”  Eighteen years later, here I am!  My husband and business partner, Kevin, and I purchased Charisma in January of 2020. What a year to take on a new adventure!  We have been blessed with team members and guests who have made this journey nothing short of AMAZING.  I love my new role as a mentor and coach to our staff.  Helping people see their potential and bring their dreams to a reality has been the most rewarding thing about my new position as owner.  Outside of the salon I spend my days soaking up every minute I can with my kiddos, Graham and Nora.  You may meet them in the salon on any given evening when they’re helping dad drop off salon supplies.  I’m a podcast/audible junkie.  If you run into me in the store or out running errand, I’m sure to be lost in whatever is blaring through my earbuds.   I’m a firm believer that what you consume, is what you put out into the world. It’s a principle I live by in the salon as well as at home.  From the moment you walk into Charisma you will be treated like family.  I have always felt your beauty experience is way more than walking out with great hair, skin, or nails.  It’s how you feel while in our space that sets us apart.
